A chess set that cost more than $3 million to make is going up for auction.
The $6 million chess set from New York-based Chess Enterprises has been described as one of the largest chess sets ever made and is believed to be one of only a handful of pieces made of carbon fiber.
It has a steel construction and is valued at more than three times its original price.
The set includes 24 pieces and is on loan from the Art Institute of Chicago.
The auction for the set, which is being sold for $1.9 to $2 million, will be held in New York City from March 6 to 12, the Chicago Tribune reported.
